A pixel is one of the tiny dots that make up digital photos and videos. Each one is very small, but when many pixels come together, they form clear images, complete with shape and color. This piece was inspired by that idea—the concept of many individual sounds and rhythms joining together to form a musical picture, like pixels shaping a vivid image on a screen.
With a bright and energetic character, the music moves forward with a strong sense of momentum. Steady rhythms and layered harmonies give the piece a sparkling and vibrant feel overall.
In the middle section, the music takes on a calm and reflective tone. Here, you can imagine the beauty of a completed image or a quiet, expansive landscape. This contrast brings out the richness of the harmonies and the resonance of the sounds.
This piece was written to capture the joy of many small sounds coming together to create a lively and unified musical experience. As you perform, I hope you will think about how each individual part connects with the others, and enjoy the process of building the music together.

「ピクセル」は、デジタルの写真や映像を形づくっている、ひとつひとつのドット(点)を意味します。ひとつひとつはとても小さな存在ですが、それがたくさん集まることで、はっきりとした形や色が見えてきます。この作品は、そんなピクセルのように、ひとつひとつの音やリズムが組み合わさって、まるで絵や映像を描いていくようなイメージで作曲しました。
推進力のある力強い曲調で、音楽は勢いよく前に進んでいきます。整ったリズムとハーモニーが重なり合い、全体として明るく、きらきらとした輝きを感じられるように作られています。
中間部では、落ち着いた曲調の中に、完成した映像の美しさや、静かに広がる風景のような情景が描かれます。動きのある前半と対照的に、音の重なりや余韻が感じられる場面となっています。
小さな音のひとつひとつが組み合わさって、いきいきとした音楽を作り出していく――そんな楽しさを感じてもらえる作品を目指しました。演奏する際は、ひとりひとりの音がどのようにつながり、どのように音楽を形づくっていくのかを意識しながら、楽しんで演奏していただけたら嬉しいです。
