Of Ideal Infinity was commissioned by a middle school band in Japan. Spirited and rhythmical themes lead us to the lyrical middle section. After returning to the Allegro section again, the music proceeds toward a joyous and dramatic ending. Carefully orchestrated to help bands perform at the highest level, the technical demands are reasonable, but the musical rewards will be great. Highly recommended for concert or contest use.
東京都･練馬区立石神井西中学校吹奏楽部委嘱作品。同校の開校70周年を記念して作曲したもので、校歌中の「理想の旗をかかげよう」という一節からヒントを得て表題をつけました。
2017年11月3日、同校の開校70周年記念式典にて、顧問の土井奈苗先生の指揮により初演。
