福岡県･北九州市立大学吹奏楽団の第50回定期演奏会記念委嘱作品。
次の世代へと歴史をつないでいくための作品を、ということで英題をつけ、学生の皆さんからのアイデアを募った上で邦題を定めました。
2017年12月16日に、杉名信二氏の指揮により初演。
